Dating Confessions Page 4

His words push me over the edge and I come, the climax rocking me to my core. The warmth of the water and its pulsating motion intensifies the sensation. As weak as I feel, I need to get on my knees and have him in my mouth.

I turn and begin to lather his cock. My hands glide up and down while we stare into each other eyes. His amber brown eyes look back at me and I can tell he loves the way I’m making him feel.

I pour the warm water to clean off the soap and bend down, taking him in my mouth. Taking him in as far back in my throat as I can, he moans, calling my name.

“Oh. God. Tilly, baby that feels so good.” I flick my tongue over the tip, alternating licking and sucking him. I can feel him tightening and can taste the fluid of his precum.

Jack pulls me up and away from his cock. “Get on top of me.”

I’m on my knees, the water dripping from my breasts. I hover over his erection, slowly lowering myself onto him.

The only man I’ve ever been with was Sean, and the sex was less than satisfying, at least for me. Feeling Jack inside me is nothing like I’ve ever experienced. He fills me completely. My pussy wraps around him in a perfect fit, as if its match has been made.

Jack’s hands move between my hips and my ass, pulling him deeper into him. My hands against the tile behind him, I look down at Jack, needing to see the arousal and pleasure on his face. I feel like an animal, clawing and grabbing wherever I can, my appetite all-encompassing.

My movements first are slow and grinding. My pussy writhing on his cock, the water splashes around us as I move faster.

My clit rubs against his cock and the friction has me on the brink of orgasm. I want to wait. I need to hear him come, and he does. I don’t hold back any longer and let my release come as I fall against his body, our lips finding each other once again.

  Chapter 10

  Jack

Three weeks ago, I had one job, one plan. To ruin Tilly Alden and her stupid little podcast. Now, the woman has me so confused, I don’t know what the fuck I’m doing. I had a meeting this morning that I completely forgot. Yesterday, I put my cell phone in the refrigerator and wore two different unmatched socks to work.

I’m now, playing racquetball with my boss David Grant, and he’s killing me. I’ve missed more shots in this one game than I ever have in all the years we’ve been playing.

“Are you feeling all right, Jack? What’s with you today? You usually kick my ass on this court.”

  “I don’t know what’s going on. I feel fine, I’m just preoccupied, I guess.”

“If you can’t get your head in the game, why don’t we call it quits for today? Let’s try this again next week.”

“Thanks, Dave. Let’s do that. I’ve got too much going on this week, I think. Sorry about this.”

“Don’t sweat it. I’ll see you this afternoon at three o’clock. We still have that meeting on the McPhearson account. You’ve got this presentation wrapped up, right?”

“What? Yeah. Of course. No problem. See you then.”

Fuck no, I don’t have it.

I’m completely screwed on this meeting if I don’t figure out what I’m going to do about Tilly.

We’ve been seeing each other non-stop since our first date, and she’s on my mind constantly. The sex is out of this world, and several times I’ve found myself actually contemplating asking her to marry me.

This is getting serious. I never expected to feel as much as I do about her. I’m not even sure why I’m so upset about it. So what if I’ve fallen in love? It’s not the end of the world. People do it all the time.

Yeah, shithead, and do you know what happens after they do? They get married. They have babies. They change, or more to the point, they’re told to change. Not good. Not good at all.

My cell phone buzzes, and it’s Tilly.

“Hey, gorgeous, I was just thinking about you.”

“You better be. Hey, I’ve got a question for you. My cousin is getting married, and the wedding is Saturday. It’s back home in Connecticut. It’s a last-minute thing. They were going to do a big formal wedding next year but decided they wanted a backyard informal wedding and can’t wait to get married. I want you to go with me. Please come?”

“Absolutely. I’d love to be your date. So what do I wear? If it’s a backyard wedding does that mean I don’t need a tux?”

“You got it. A sports jacket, no tie, khakis are fine. Thank you so much. I can’t wait for you to meet my family and see the place where I grew up. I’ve got to run. I’ll talk to you later.”

It takes only a second after her call to realize that I’ve just signed my death warrant.

I can see it now. The minute we step into town, every person I’ve interviewed will blow my cover. Unless I can come up with a way to get out of going to the wedding, I’m totally screwed.

  Chapter 11

  Jack

The drive to Connecticut and every minute leading up to the wedding is torture. I can’t focus on anything but how to get out of the trouble I am in.

Fortunately, the bride asked Tilly to stand in for her maid of honor, who is sick. If Tilly is busy attending to the bride and isn’t sitting with me, I might be able to avoid having her watch me interact with people I’ve already met. The biggest obstacle will be her parents. How the hell am I going to deal with that?

I pull the car up to the house and make the only suggestion I can. “Why don’t I drop you off and you can get yourself ready for the ceremony? I can mingle around and introduce myself, don’t worry. We’ll catch up after.”

“Are you sure? I feel bad just leaving you to fend for yourself.”

“Yes, I’m sure. Don’t worry. I can’t wait to see how beautiful you’re going to look in your dress. Go do what you have to do. I’ll be fine.”

Tilly blows me a kiss, and I watch her go into the house. After I park the car, the first thing I need to do is look around for any familiar faces and say hello. I should be able to convince Tilly that I’ve just met these people today. Hopefully she won’t mention my name to her parents.

Walking around the grounds, I don’t see anyone I’ve talked to before. So far, it appears I’m in the clear. Feeling pretty safe, I’m terrified when I hear my name. I turn and see Tilly’s pastor walking toward me. Shit. I forgot about the pastor.

“Jack Baldwin, right? Are you here with Tilly?”

“Nice to see you. Yes, I am. She’s upstairs with the wedding party, getting ready.”

“Well, it’s a beautiful day for a wedding. Not a cloud in the sky. I best get up front and see where I’m needed. Good to see you again, Jack.”

I smile and nod my head.

  I am so screwed.

Looking around for any sign of alcohol, I find a table with a punch bowl.

  Please be spiked.

  No luck. No alcohol.

I take a napkin and wipe my forehead. I’m sweating profusely, and I must look like I’m about to pass out.

The ceremony is about to start. Most of the guests have taken their seats, but a few more are still mingling and talking. I don’t recognize anyone other than the pastor, so maybe things won’t be as bad as I anticipated. Trying not to stand out, I look for a chair in the back.

The music starts and ushers escort the parents of the groom and then the mother of the bride down the aisle. I can see Tilly’s mother and father near the front of the crowd, but I don’t make eye contact with them. The bridesmaids slowly walk down the aisle signaling that the maid of honor will be the last before the bride.

Tilly walks from the back of the house, and I can tell she is somewhat distracted. She holds her head up, stands tall and smiles as she walks toward the pastor. Once in the front, the music changes to signal the arrival of the bride and father of the bride.

Everyone is watching the bride, but all I can do is search Tilly’s face. I can tell she’s trying to remain calm, but something tells me she knows. I don’t know how she knows, but I just know that she does.

I’m sick. It’s not just that my cover is blown, but I’ve managed to push away the only woman I’ve ever truly loved.

The ceremony is a blur. Cheers and clapping erupts when they kiss, and everyone is now in a party mood. I look for Tilly, but I can’t find her. I run to the front of the crowd, but she isn’t there.

Tilly’s father grabs my arm. “It seems you’ve got some explaining to do, Mr. Baldwin.”

  “Where is Tilly?”

“She doesn’t want to see you.”

  “Where is she?”

“Why do you care? Is everything a game to you? My daughter deserves better. You’ve lied to her even after we told you all that she’s been through? What kind of man does that?”

I don’t need to think about what to say to them. My heart will do the talking from here.

“The kind of man who loves your daughter and wants to marry her.”

A quiet has descended upon the crowd, and everyone is listening to me.

With perfect clarity, I know what I want.

“Mr. Alden, I’ve never loved anyone in my life the way I love your daughter. I know I don’t deserve her, but I need her. I promise to spend the rest of my life proving to her that she is the most important person, the center of my universe, my everything.

If she were here right now, I’d get on my knees and propose in front of all these people. I’d beg her to be mine forever. With your blessing, sir.”

A voice from the crowd rises. “You’ll beg me on your knees?”

The crowd parts, and Tilly is standing before me.

I’m so happy to see her, I could burst.

  “I would.”

After the humiliation Tilly experienced on her own wedding day, I can’t tell if is trying to punish me for it now. Watching me suffer in front of everyone she knows might give her the closure she needs, and I wouldn’t blame her one bit.

  “Let me see.”

I walk toward Tilly and slowly drop to my knees.

“Tilly Alden, you deserve better than me, but I’m begging you to give me the chance to prove my love for the next sixty years if you’ll let me. Please be my wife. Marry me.”

With tears in her eyes she answers, “Only sixty?”

  “How does forever sound?”

“What about your fear that I’ll change you?”

“My love, can’t you see? You’ve already changed me. Now say yes.”

  She laughs and says, “Yes.”

She runs into my arms, we kiss, and the crowd erupts in celebration.

Tilly never wanted revenge, not from me. I was wrong. What she wanted was what we all want. Someone who is willing to sacrifice everything for the real deal.

Nothing about our lives will ever be the same, and I couldn’t be happier or more content.

  Epilogue

  Two Years Later

The last two years have been a whirlwind of events. We got married, and although our lives have kept us pretty busy, I haven’t been motivated to shut down the podcast.

Once we changed the format by opening the dialogue between women and men, it’s become one of the most popular dating podcasts online.

Our listeners have come to refer to my husband as Mr. Alden instead of Jack Baldwin, and Maura and I have even allowed Jack to add a man’s perspective on some of our episodes.

The most exciting news, however, is that we’re pregnant. Jack is the most adorable father-to-be I’ve ever seen. You’d never know he was originally so opposed to the whole idea of marriage and children.

We became concerned about the pregnancy early on because my morning sickness was overwhelming. It wasn’t morning sickness; it was all day sickness. At twelve weeks in, we found out the reason for it. We’re having twins.

I thought Jack might pass out when we were first told the news, but after a cold compress and putting his head between his legs for a bit, he was able to leave the hospital without the use of a wheelchair.

We didn’t want to know the sex of the babies because Lexi and Maura kept pressing us to have a gender reveal party. It was impossible to keep the news from us for too long since there is so much planning for two babies, so we decided to have the shower in my sixth month.

Friends and family can’t wait to celebrate the good news with us, so the party is at my parent’s home in Connecticut today.

I watch Jack’s face as we drive to the event.

“Hey. Are you okay? You seem really nervous about this.”

“It’s ridiculous, I know, but all of a sudden, the idea that we will know whether we’re having two boys or two girls makes this serious business. I might be pretty good at raising boys, but girls are different. Women have always been a mystery to me. What if our daughter or daughters turns out to be just as confusing?”

“Well, fortunately, you won’t have to worry about that until they’re teenagers. I think you’re good for several years, and by then you’ll know your daughter or daughters fairly well.”

We pull our car up the driveway and see pink and blue balloons everywhere. Maura and Lexi are at the front door to welcome us.

Lexi throws her arms around me. “Look at you guys all grown up and everything. I can’t believe it. You’re going to be a mommy, Tilly.”

“Oh. God. I know. Can you believe this?”

Maura hugs Jack. “Hey, Papa. How’s the daddy doing?”

I laugh and can’t help teasing him. “The daddy looks a little green. I think it’s just now starting to sink in he might have two or three girls telling him what to do for the rest of his life.”

The party is filled with love, and there is so much excitement for us that my hormones have me crying every other minute.

When it’s time to reveal the sex of our babies, platters of cupcakes adorned with blue and pink frosting are circulating around the lawn, along with champagne, and an apple juice for me.

Jack and I are handed two paint ball guns, and Lexi stands at the side of the house yelling instructions for each of us to shoot at the sheets that are hung from the second-floor window.

“I’m going to count to three and then you guys can shoot at the house. Get ready. One, two, three, shoot!”

Splatters of both pink and blue hit the wall, and everyone screams congratulations.

“Oh. My. God, Jack. A boy and a girl.”

Jack scoops me up into his arms and kisses me.

“Well, Mrs. Baldwin, it looks like the discussions between the boys and the girls continues.”

Jack can call them discussions all he wants, but when our two little ones start fighting over a toy, it won’t matter what gender they are. I can’t wait to see which team wins.
